Category A: Gastronomy sources 100% of its meat from the farmer in the neighboring village (Metzgerei & Hofladen Pfeiffer), we produce our own fries and source our potatoes from a potato farmer in the Netherlands. If available, we get the lettuce, flowers and herbs from a community farm in the neighboring village of Caldern. The location of the beer garden rounds off the offer.
Category Q: Embedded in meadows, fields, the “mountains” of the Lahn valley and the passing Lahn with its adjacent forest, make the campsite something very special.
Category X: The site draws 100% of its electricity from a hydroelectric power plant on the Lahn, direct connection. The sanitary building has a thermal solar system and the toilet flushes are supplied by a rainwater cistern. Waste disposal is separated into paper, yellow garbage cans, glass, batteries and residual waste. Sustainable, as described in category A, the purchase of goods for catering.
